It’s late at night in your 80s bedroom and a strange energy fills the air, making your “G64” computer blink strangely. Leaving this aside, you roll up a character sheet for tabletop role-playing games on your shelf. Before you finish, dark portals appear on your desktop and little pixel creatures cross our world. Defend your character through the stages of each campaign book, whether it’s all in your head or not.
CrossOver takes some classic concepts from traditionally “casual” genres (Match 3 and Tower Defense) and crosses them into a new, eccentric challenge with elements of action, strategy, role-playing and puzzles. With over 100 levels in fantasy and sci-fi settings, additional game modes, and a unique asymmetrical cooperative mode (one player controls the dice and the other handles the attacks), CrossOver is… let’s face it, it’s very strange. Good thing there’s a demo, right?
Each campaign includes:
- Shops to buy armor and items.
- RPG Progression (earn XP, level up, increase stats)
- Dozens of spells and weapons to find
- Mercenaries to hire
- Random Encounters with Fighting Fantasy Book Type Options
- Persistent gems to unlock classes/races (15 of each per game setting) or exchange for additional gold
