Contradiction is a unique murder mystery adventure game that uses live action videos throughout the game. All you have to do is interview the characters, spot their lies and uncover them! Contradiction is a completely new take on the interactive movie concept and takes the genre to a whole new level of gameplay. It plays as fluidly as a 3D graphics game. You can freely wander around the game environment, collect evidence, and witness constantly changing events. But the game is about interviewing the characters you meet, asking them about all the evidence you’ve collected and things you’ve seen, and then spotting contradictions in their answers. Match two contradictions and watch them try to solve them! It works best connected to a TV, preferably with a group of people to help detect lies, but can be played alone on your laptop or PC! As of March 2021, the Windows game has been updated; If you have an older game you want to go back to, you can download the “legacy” version from one of the Beta branches (instructions posted on the discussion forum). The legacy version of the game with French subtitles by Pierre-Laurent Batut is also available for download in a Beta branch; again, the instructions are pinned at the top of the discussion board.
