You wake up in your house, but something doesn’t seem right. As you look around your house, you begin to notice that things are different than you remember. You use a camera to take photographs to reveal the truth, to remember what was there. Your memory is fading; The longer things stay different, the faster you succumb. Keys to find, mysteries to solve, a home to explore. You need to keep your memory intact to put together pieces of your life and remember who you are and what has happened. Only then will you get the peace you want. During the game, you will have to study the layout of the house and what each room is like. Over time, things will change and it is up to you to correct the changes to keep your sanity intact. The more you let your sanity run out, the more horror elements will occur and things will change. If you let your sanity deplete too much, you will succumb and lose. There is no saving, a loss will end your game and you will have to restart.
What will you do while you play:
- Take photographs of objects that have changed to return them to normal and prevent loss of sanity.
- Solve puzzles around the house to continue unlocking new rooms.
- Gather story elements to advance the main story and discover what happened. Putting the whole story together is how you win.
- Take pills to restore memory and keep your sanity in check.
- All puzzles, changing objects, horror elements, and story elements are randomized each playthrough, allowing for multiple playthroughs so each playthrough feels different.
- A normal and hard difficulty level, both difficulties unlocked from the beginning.
- The normal difficulty is meant to be an appropriate challenge, which increases the more you play.
- The hard difficulty is intended to be very challenging, featuring many new things that can change, higher puzzle difficulty, and less overall time.
- Statistics to keep track of what you have achieved and your best completed time for each difficulty.
