Battle Ax is a top-down arcade hack & slash featuring high-quality visuals created by veteran pixel artist Henk Nieborg, true-to-form gameplay mechanics, and music by legendary VGM composer Manami Matsumae – retro gamers rejoice! For as long as you and your people can remember, your homeland, Mercia, has been under the tyrannical clutches of the malevolent sorceress Etheldred. A few months ago, a group of mercenaries was sent to try to stop Etheldred and his evil cohorts, but sadly none of them have returned… Will you meet the same unfortunate fate as their honorable predecessors, or will you return victorious and triumphant? That’s all up to you!
