When Lilya arrives at InterMense to beta test Penta, she hopes to spend the weekend battling her social anxiety in exchange for the chance to enter Vitalia’s simulation. But when Ben, another evaluator, refuses to leave Vitalia’s world, putting his life in danger, Lilya sees that she has been involved in something much more revealing than she thought. As the destinies of Lilya, Ben and Jacob become intertwined, they must make some of the most difficult decisions of their lives and confront their own perceptions about the nature of existence.
