Static drive dead is Grand Theft Cthulhu, a survival horror road trip through a nightmarish version of 1980s Americana. Search, fight and stealth your way through small towns and spooky roads as reality begins to crumble. Play as Hearst, a wayward traveler searching for his missing parents (and answers) in a world collapsing under the weight of something old and wrong. Trust is your most valuable resource and you will need to depend on others to survive. Evade the police. Protect those around you. And help stop a violent, paranoid man whose delusions put everyone at risk, including his own children. You didn’t grow up here. You don’t know the streets, the faces, or the things people see at dusk. All you have is a strange letter, no return address, and a growing feeling that something has gone terribly wrong. Your parents live this way. Or lived. You haven’t heard from them in a long time. Now there is smoke on the horizon and strange news in the wind. You came to look for your family. You came to understand what is happening. If you don’t keep moving, you won’t have the chance to move either. Something moves under the pavement.
