Daymare City is a hand-drawn puzzle adventure game. You find yourself in the heart of a strange city populated by peculiar Metamorph creatures. This city is full of corners, puzzles, secrets and items to collect to help you along the way. Can you escape the nightmare of a day? You are not alone here. You will meet peculiar nightmare inhabitants. Some of them will help you, others need your help. Almost everyone has a story. You can choose to learn those stories by simply listening or watching the environmental narrative closely. You will have to immerse yourself deeply in the corners of this town to be able to solve all its mysteries and riddles, of which there are plenty. Most of them will have you fighting against the entropy of a city, throwing signal back into noise. There are also creatures here that need your help, look closely at them to know who they are and what they need from you. You’ll have an inventory of items to use while solving puzzles. The entire game is hand drawn. There is nothing automatically generated or procedural. No AI is used in any capacity. Each location was carefully designed. Its stylized and sketched character emphasizes the disturbing atmosphere of a shapeless nightmare in which you find yourself. The piano music for this game was created by contemporary composer Alex Voytenko. His musical style perfectly emphasizes the atmosphere of unspoken madness that permeates this city.
