Inspired by classic Japanese shooters, Danmaku Unlimited 3 is a carefully crafted blend of the best aspects of Japanese Bullet Hell games, all in a polished and accessible package. An old school shootout? Why is it worth my time? The Bullet Hell style mechanic is having something of a renaissance with its inclusion in many successful indie games. However, if players want to explore the world of Bullet Hell further, many traditional titles can be difficult to understand in their mechanics or simply too difficult to understand as a newcomer. Danmaku Unlimited 3 is designed to be intuitive and accessible for players unfamiliar with the genre, without losing any of the intensity and glitz that make playing the genre so exciting. Okay, so how does the game do that?

CORE A basic feature in Bullet Hells, only the center of the player’s ship, the core, is vulnerable to enemy fire.

GRAZING Bring the core closer to the bullets to just “graze” it and it will enhance the player’s skill. Once fully charged, it can unleash a powerful attack that will make you feel like a total boss.

SPIRIT/GRAPH SYSTEM Shooting down enemies turns their shots into harmless ghost bullets that the player can safely touch while also powering up the plane.
