Copycat is an indie narrative game about a pet learning to deal with abandonment and a human forced to surrender. Together, two souls embark on a journey to discover the meaning of family and home. We follow the story of Dawn, a skeptical shelter cat who would rather be in the wild than be adopted again. Dawn really thinks she’s a feral cat. And he plans to escape as soon as he gets the chance.
Dawn has second thoughts when she meets new owner Olive, a lonely older Australian who is mourning the disappearance of her beloved furry companion. Together, Dawn and Olive develop a close friendship, as two broken hearts mend and learn to beat as one.
Everything changes when Olive falls ill and a street impersonator steals Dawn’s place in the house, forcing her to go outside.
Wander alleys, fences, and rooftops as you learn about the true meaning of home. The game’s thoughtful pacing gives you the opportunity to enjoy the emotions of love, loneliness, and abandonment as you progress through the story.
Copycat is completely voice-acted, with hours of dialogue and a talented voice cast. Original musical score by Daniel Bunting.
