Conquest of Elysium 5 is a fast-paced turn-based fantasy strategy game with a rogue-like twist. The game is full of depth, details and monsters. There are also a large number of factions, each with their own unique gameplay and magical rituals.
The main goal of the CoE series is that each race plays differently. We’re not talking about a single building here and a single unit there, we’re talking about completely different play styles, with different mechanics and different objectives. Perhaps you’re playing a druid, focused on amassing a vast forest and jungle empire from which to harvest ingredients to summon forest creatures with no practical need to conquer mines. Perhaps you are a dwarf, whose only concern is mines and producing units at a certain rate each turn, focused almost entirely on upgrading those units so that they survive as long as possible, since they are very difficult to replace. Perhaps you are a Plague Lord, whose pyramids of power drain the life force of Elysium and channel it into himself and his Heralds. With 24 different factions, that alone is enough to keep your gameplay dynamic as you compete for map control to conquer Elysium.
New to the fifth version of Conquest of Elysium are four additional planes to interact with, ships and ports that allow players to travel to islands beyond the main continent of Elysium, three new factions, new rituals and summons for existing factions, new battle maps for different fortifications, new independent factions fighting each other, new monsters, more and different random events and much more.
