With Congressional action, a huge segment of the national economy becomes illegal overnight: bars and lounges are ordered closed, distilleries and breweries go silent, distributors close. But a new era is dawning: a golden age for smugglers, black markets, illegal manufacturing and organized crime. This is where you come in. You are a newcomer to the city at the dawn of Prohibition, with the ambition to succeed. Behind many of the city’s facades, people build makeshift distilleries, secret loading docks, and late-night speakeasies. Make your way in this network and the world will be yours. But think beyond making a quick dollar or two. You have to think about the future. You have to think big. Much bigger.
