Cerulean Days is the third original visual novel from developer LeafCascade. It had a successful Kickstarter campaign and is now here on Steam! A seemingly idyllic and modern island in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean. A calm and constant breeze coupled with a temperate climate and an affluent society that embraces a harmonious lifestyle. Its citizens often refer to the island as their own miracle, considering themselves lucky to have been born there. Tourism is hampered even though Inre is a highly desired tourist destination, and rightly so. Not only is it a trip that only the rich can afford, but a rigorous regime means a special visa is required to enter. Over the course of six months, a lethal biological attack claims a significant number of lives. While the tragedy occupies people’s minds to the brim, a government control plan is built and implemented. Everything to prevent these types of attacks from happening again. In the following years, the citizens of the island of Inre face unexpected changes to their usual customs. On a gloomy, wet, dark and scary day, the Internet goes out, leaving the island disconnected from the world around it. After a long spring without Internet tinged with uncertainty, a new system is introduced to replace it. A new “Internet” along with digital setbacks result in major changes in everyday life. Unable to adapt, many find themselves spiritually trapped in a world that no longer exists. Suddenly, the island appears shrouded in mysteries. There are many closed hearts. A select few want a way out. But most want to restart and forget.
