Cauldrons of War Barbarossa is a turn-based strategic war game. From June 1941 to the Battle of Moscow, play against the USSR or Axis forces in one of the largest and bloodiest operations in history. That was the summary, now I want to explain to you as an author what I wanted to do with this game: “My intention was to make a very historical Wargame that would be the ideal game to launch when you want to shoot World War II. Without wanting to launch one of your usual games that last weeks. I was also tired of hexagons and “regions”, I wanted to try a new system based on operations. The result is more historical, simpler and faster. I also wanted the gameplay to be very different for the Germans and the Soviets, and I think that when playing You will find that each side has its own particular feel. What I can promise you is that you have never played a war game like this before and, like the testers, you will want to return to it often.
