Step into the shiny metal shoes of the Computer Automated Resource Locator, a small but daring automaton lost within the sprawling Kent Industries facility. Take on each dangerous factory floor to search for tech units for your engineer friend outside, unlocking new areas and abilities along the way. Full of offbeat humor and catchy “Electro-Chiptune” music tracks, CARL’s journey makes for a clever and endlessly satisfying retro game. The DUMP (Depot of Unusable Machines and Parts) serves as your world hub and the home of malfunctioning robots whose knowledge and support will help you advance in the adventure. CARL’s story is built around this central narrative, but progression is handled through segmented, level-based sprints in which you jump onto the dangerous factory floor and collect the Tech Units guarded within.
