BYTES: Reverse Tower Defense is a variation on the classic TD formula where you play as the attacker to strategically build your own path and use special tokens to avoid and mitigate damage to your Bytes.

The fraudulent AI designation “NLAI 74a” or “Complexus” has escaped New Life security and aims to prevent further damage to the city of East Grid by recovering the security nodes.

Game Features:

  • Bytes features a dynamic AI, the antagonist Complexus, who attempts to counter your actions with turrets that she determines will be best for the job. No road will remain safe for long.
  • Complexus purchases and upgrades turrets with credits earned by destroying your Bytes and passing rounds as a player normally would.
  • Semi-random elements and Complexus ensure that no level will play the same.
  • 8 different turrets for Complexus to use.

Strategy gameplay:

  • Bytes is a game about mitigating damage and adapting to new dangers by building your way.
  • Mix and match special tiles to beat levels. Use special tokens to protect your Bytes on a dangerous path, jump gaps, teleport through walls or speeding turrets.
  • Change the formation of your units (Bytes) to group them or space them out, depending on the danger.
  • Choose from three different Byte types or set your own waves in the Byte Editor.
