“Bugs Must Die” is a fast-paced, pixel art-style twin-stick shooter that pays homage to the classic arcade era of the ’80s and ’90s, serving as a spiritual successor to Konami’s iconic top-down jeep action game, “Jackal.” The game offers more than 10 hours of engaging gameplay in three different modes: Story Mode, Challenge Mode, and Hell Mode. Story mode features 16 levels, each culminating in a unique boss fight, and completing it unlocks all playable characters. Challenge mode ups the ante with 8 additional levels and secret bosses that appear randomly, encouraging players to dominate each encounter. Hell Mode starts players with just a basic weapon, rewarding progress with increasingly valuable loot, providing an exciting test of skill for hardcore players while remaining accessible to newcomers through vehicle and weapon upgrades earned in missions. Players can choose from several characters, each equipped with unique weapons and fighting styles, including two Mantis Agents with different fixed weapon systems and dodge mechanics.
