Brut@l is a modern reinvention of the classic ASCII dungeon crawler, fusing old-school gameplay with stunning 3D visual style to create a totally unique adventure. Choose your hero (ranger, mage, warrior or amazon) and descend into a procedurally generated world built entirely in ASCII. Your goal? Reach the 26th floor, defeat the fearsome Dungeon Guardian and claim his crown. Does it sound easy? It won’t be. It will be… Brut@l. How long will you survive while fighting Trolls, Orcs, Rockmonsters, Lycanthorpes and many other dangerous monsters lurking in the Brut@l dungeon? Each enemy type has its own attack style and weakness that you can discover by unlocking hidden pages in your adventurer’s Field Guide. However, it’s not just the individual monsters that make Brut@l challenging: the combination and groups of monsters, called Squads, make the game interesting, challenging and satisfying to defeat. Take the Minotaur for example: the formidable half-man, half-bull monster uses its ferocious charging attack to deal serious damage. Fortunately, the skilled adventurer can easily dodge the attack of this foolish beast. However, throw in some Frozen Skeleton Archers, a fast-shooting ranged enemy whose arrows can freeze you in place, and you suddenly find yourself pinned in place with an angry minotaur bearing down on you. The further you progress in the dungeon, the more challenging the squads facing you will become.
