Asteroids and Aliens, the modern arcade shooter that pays tribute to the Arcade Classic.
The game is controlled with the keyboard and instructions are displayed on the game controller page, which can be accessed from the main menu.
There are 20 levels with an additional final end game level. In each level, you must complete a specific list of tasks in each level, as well as collect a randomly located machine part in each level. Completing all required tasks will open the entrance door to the next level for the player to proceed to the next level.
Each level has a random change in the location of items, enemies and machine parts.
Your weapons are missiles, bullets, lasers, smart bombs and nuclear EMPs. Missiles and bullets are unlimited, but other weapons are limited and should be used only when necessary. Lasers are good for removing asteroids. Nuke EMP can be used to destroy or damage nearby enemies, the range is limited to the visible area of the screen. Smart Bombs only work on some enemies and are basically Fire and Forget, they will track and destroy the enemy on their own.
Your retro-style spaceship has similar controls to the player’s ship from the 1979 Asteroids Arcade game. YOU can turn 360 degrees left or right, push forward at the speed you choose depending on how long you hold the push button. You can also backtrack when necessary if you move away from enemies or if you shoot at your enemies you will do it the other way around.
Top-down 2D space shooter, starts casual in the first few levels but turns into a fast-paced shooter.
You can start a new game or, if you have already played and located at least one checkpoint, you have the option to continue from that checkpoint accessible from the game page.
