Delve into a dark sci-fi visual novel set in a post-apocalyptic world where a mysterious disease called ‘Peccatomania’ has wiped out most of humanity. The story revolves around Rust and his sister, wandering through empty lands and desperately searching for other living humans. All other humans have supposedly fallen victim to this disease that causes sufferers to suffer from insanity, sensory delusions, and uncontrollable self-destructive impulses. The only way to control these symptoms is to spend time inside a virtual game called Archetype Arcadia. Rust does not suffer from the disease, but when his sister, who does suffer from it, mysteriously becomes unresponsive one day, he must enter the virtually immersive game and navigate this invisible world to find a solution for his sister. Inside the game there is a completely new world full of people and monsters. A world where using a gaming device allows players to use powerful memories and their corresponding avatars to fight against each other. While this virtual existence supposedly delays the disease, it also carries serious consequences. As Rust makes his way through this strange world in search of a cure, he meets several people with unexpected identities and origins, makes unbreakable friendships, and, no doubt, some enemies along the way. Archetype Arcadia is a plot that unfolds beautifully and impactfully, taking the player along a journey of mystery, heartbreak, friendship, and salvation.
