angry penguin is a challenging platformer inspired by classic 3D games from the Nintendo 64, PS1, and Dreamcast era, combined with the notoriously frustrating titles found on the Steam store. In this unique adventure, you control an unusually angry penguin on a mission to recover his eggs scattered across a mysterious island. Unlike typical motives for anger, our protagonist’s fury stems from his desperate search and, fortunately, he has a boating license to navigate treacherous terrain. Each level features progressively more difficult tests, requiring precision and patience as you uncover the game’s many secrets. For speedrunning enthusiasts, Angry Penguin includes a built-in timer to track your best runs without the need for external tools like LiveSplit, although there are no advanced tricks like BLJ (or so it seems). The first solo map, The Abandoned Island, sets the stage for this intense experience, with more maps and game modes planned for future updates. Additionally, there’s a multiplayer mode on the horizon, although development is a solo effort, ensuring steady but careful progress.
