You have fallen into a surreal and haunted underground neighborhood. Discover your origins and escape with your life (and sanity) intact. WALK THROUGH A WIDE NETWORK OF WORLDLY HORRORS. Anemoiapolis finds horror in the familiar: places so commonplace that film and television often avoid them. Experience the comfort of existential dread. With no one around to let you out, you’ll have to forge your own path to the exit. Push obstacles and break windows, whatever it takes to get to the next room. Test your puzzle skills. Break into electrical panels to access new areas. Don’t count on that door to be there the next time you turn. Things are not always what they seem. This game is designed from the ground up to make you get lost and confused. If you feel like you are going around in circles, then you are on the right track. Anemoiapolis is developed by Andrew Quist, a solo developer who draws heavy inspiration from his hometown in Michigan. Buoyed by late 2020 forum posts about “liminal spaces” and “backrooms,” Anemoiapolis is a personal account of those concepts.
