Immerse yourself in intense combat where you can destroy formidable bosses and transform into various powerful alien forms, each granting unique abilities such as super speed, healing and flight. The game offers a dynamic difficulty system that adjusts per player, allowing up to four players to join together in online or couch co-op with skill levels ranging from friendly to insane. Choose from three difficulty levels and two different life insurance modes: Mastery mode, which rewards you with more experience and better falls, but punishes death harshly, and Permakeep, the classic experience in which you keep your progress. Customize your alien with a wide arsenal of weapons, power-ups, mutations and cosmetics, unlocking new mechanics as you level up and complete missions. Explore a vast non-linear world made up of hundreds of handcrafted city blocks, invaded in random neighborhoods leading to enemy headquarters. Collect loot at Sewer Kid Hideouts and spend your earnings on upgrades and bonuses from clandestine allies. Each destroyed HQ unlocks new mutations and additional rewards, including mommy holohugs and redeemable Mothership data to activate modifiers like extra lunch money and shield boosts. Experiment with different combinations of weapons, power-ups and mutations to find your optimal playstyle, balancing the advantages and disadvantages that alien technology brings.
