Alice escaped! is a 2D exploratory action Metroidvania. Follow the adventures of Usada and Kotora, who entered a strange wonderland full of grimoires and must chase a mysterious girl named Alice in order to return to their own world. What awaits them in this mysterious world are strange but familiar characters, such as the Cheshire Cat, the Mad Hatter and Humpty Dumpty. Are they friends or enemies? And why does the white rabbit Usamura have a zipper on his back? And who exactly is this enigmatic girl hiding Alice deep in the world? This is where you probably realized that this game has multiple endings. There are numerous important decisions to make, a story that repeats itself, and the characters’ true goals to reveal. An adventure like you’ve never experienced before is about to begin! One of the central points of this game is its elegant team battle system! Swing Usada’s giant hammer to pulverize your enemies with powerful melee attacks, or use Kotora’s machine gun and bombs to eliminate enemies from a distance. Switch between the two to chain together impressive combos! Chaining combos will increase your attack power and make it easier to quickly defeat the numerous oncoming enemies. Eliminating enemies increases your chance gauge, which can be used to perform support attacks and devastating finishing attacks. When you collect skill crystals that drop around the world, you can upgrade your characters’ skills. You can upgrade their weapons, which will then unlock unique abilities. Or you can focus on their stats and moves, and even gain skills to help them convince others to help them. If you find yourself stuck on a difficult boss, try taking some time off the main path to help our heroes get stronger.
