About the game

Immerse yourself in a world of bizarre gadgets and alchemical machines with The Room, a BAFTA award-winning 3D puzzler from Fireproof Games. Follow a trail of cryptic letters and solve many unique devices in increasingly unusual places on a time-spanning journey where machines meet myths. The Room PC is a fully improved HD version of Apple’s iPad Game of the Year 2012, including the ‘EPILOGUE’ DLC, which adds 20% more content and playtime to the original version. This PC version of the game has been in development for many months and involves recreating almost every element in the game from scratch. Fireproof Games is a small independent team based in Guildford, UK. We self-released our first game The Room in September 2012 and were impressed by both its critical success and our newly formed fan base, not to mention several international awards. The space changed our lives and we hope you enjoy it as much as we did.

Download and install the room

Wait 5 seconds and click the blue “Download Now” button. Now let the download begin and wait for it to finish.
After downloading The Room, right-click the zip file and click “Extract to The.Room.zip”. (You will need 7-Zip for this, which you can get Here).
Double click inside The Room folder and run the exe application.
Have fun and play! Make sure you are running the game as an administrator. If you get missing DLL errors, look for a Redist or _CommonRedist folder and install any programs in the folder.

Note: Towards the end of the game there is a puzzle in which you have to navigate a gem through a maze. At the very end there is a glitch that prevents you from making any progress. To fix this, set your monitor to 60Hz and run the game in windowed mode. We don’t understand why it works, but it works. After this puzzle you can change everything again.
