About the game
The Empire of Japan is tearing itself apart. Fighting breaks out constantly between the provinces. Your clan’s rule begins – become the Shogun, the ultimate ruler of medieval Japan. Shogun’s Empire: Hex Commander is a turn-based strategy game from the creator of the Earth 21XX series. Choose from dozens of campaigns built around 15 historical clans. Conquer provinces and gain access to new unit types and strengthen your position in the region. Forge alliances, declare wars, and maintain your honor level to earn better prizes and respect from your neighbors. Build a strong economy and feed your troops, upgrade provinces to ultimately build an unstoppable army. Recruit ashigaru, well-trained samurai, or elite ninjas. Build an army that suits your tactics. Choose from yari-equipped melee soldiers, various sword-wielding units, ranged troops with various bow types, rifles, and more. Use cavalry to fight on open battlefields or dominate castle sieges with powerful cannons. Your soldiers gain experience in battle and become more effective and deadly. Each army is commanded by a general, which boosts morale and provides additional bonuses such as army size and combat abilities.
