Children of a dead earth is a simulation of lifelike space warfare. Design your spaceships using real technology. Traverse the solar system using actual orbit mechanics. Command fleets as the solar system falls to war and see if you have what it takes to be the victor. Every technology, from the Nuclear Thermal Rockets to the Railguns to the Magnetoplasma Dynamic Thrusters, has been implemented using up-to-date equations from engineering and physics textbooks and white papers. Take on the role of an admiral and fight your way through a detailed storyline that chronicles the solar system's descent into the entire war, spanning every planet in the solar system and everything in between. With an N-body simulator (the kind that NASA uses to draw trajectories of spacecraft) all orbital phenomena consisting of hyperbolic orbits, Lagrangian points, and orbital perturbations are correctly simulated. Spaceships can station orbits or enter free-falling disrupted orbits. The solar system is fully modeled to scale. The size of all planets, moons and asteroids is precisely enormous and the distance between them is similarly large. Correspondingly correct is the extremely high orbital speed of your ships deep in orbits with high gravity. All of the above aspects together result in a space war simulator that is unparalleled in scientific realism.
