About the game

Below the Stone is a punishing pixel art roguelike about dwarves searching for the deepest depths. Each descent will lead to new adventures where only the most determined players will be rewarded with many lives risked from the hidden world beneath the stone. Discover the knowledge of the dwarves, the treasures they die for, and the secrets they rarely speak of. In the stone beneath lies the adventure everyone seeks, but there is always a price. Often death. Mine rare gems that grant magical boosts and can be inserted into your weapons and armor. When you have enough of one gem type, merge them together to make a stronger version! You can do this again and again. With each deeper level you compete against smarter creatures and more dangerous biomes. But also bigger rewards for mining and uncovering. No pain no gain. (And some pain can be eased with a pint of dwarven ale.) As you descend, you’ll explore and find many unique ores, gems, and ancient treasures that were buried before time – everything that will help you delve deeper in the future Departures… but only if you craft the right equipment to survive. With over 25 uniquely dangerous and graphically beautiful biomes, there’s no shortage of new environments and resources to explore – but tread carefully, as each also presents its own threats. Prepare for each dive beneath the stone by crafting new equipment, setting new gems, and brewing new potions using all the resources you’ve harvested on your previous journeys… But be careful, if you die, everything, what is lost under the stone…the stone remains buried forever underground.
